Web Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Jersey City, New Jersey, United States

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 annual base salary plus annual target bonus for New Jersey; Massachusetts range is $85,000–$130,000 plus annual target bonus.

What you will do

• Protect the firm from web-based threats, including malware, phishing, and data exfiltration.
• Design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise web filtering proxies, secure web gateways, and cloud proxy platforms.
• Develop and enforce web filtering, SSL inspection, DLP, and threat-prevention policies.
• Partner with incident response teams to detect and remediate web-originated threats.
• Automate policy management, monitoring, and response through APIs and security tooling.
• Integrate web security operations with SIEM, SOAR, and identity platforms, while reporting risks and program maturity to leadership.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in information security and web-based security technologies.
• At least 5 years of experience with web proxies.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy regulations and associated risks.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Experience in financial services is preferred.
