Director, Financial & Regulatory Reporting (Banking)

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States; hybrid work arrangements

What you will do

• Lead the preparation and submission of regulatory filings and reporting packages.
• Prepare quarterly and annual GAAP financial statements, disclosures, and executive reporting packages.
• Monitor regulatory requirements and support regulatory examinations, internal audits, and external audits.
• Maintain accounting policies, technical accounting analyses, position papers, controls, and disclosure documentation.
• Partner with Treasury, Tax, FP&A, Accounting, Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, regulators, and external auditors.
• Build reporting governance, improve process efficiency and data quality, and lead and mentor reporting team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting, financial reporting, or regulatory reporting experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting controls, regulatory reporting requirements, and banking practices.
• Experience working with external auditors and/or regulators.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, leadership, and cross-functional partnership skills.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Experience within a regulated banking environment.
