Software Equipment Engineer (Industrial Automation)

What you will do

• Translate Maintenance and Process department requirements into software designs, equipment modifications, and technical documentation.
• Facilitate multidisciplinary improvement groups and support knowledge transfer to equipment engineers and technicians.
• Manage software configuration control, version management, MES production data control systems, and related IT activities.
• Prepare CE technical documentation and provide documentation support and training.
• Liaise with suppliers to resolve technical issues and equipment failures.
• Monitor technology developments, identify obsolete equipment, and support factories across the Optical Fiber business unit, including possible international travel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field, preferably Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Preferably 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience developing software for machine building or industrial automation environments.
• Basic VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a quality-focused, proactive, and solution-oriented approach.
• Good English is mandatory.

• Experience with Siemens and Rockwell industrial platforms.
• Project leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
