Technical Project Manager (Energy)

Location: Must be based in Germany (Remote Germany-wide or hybrid in Berlin, Hamburg, or Munich).

What you will do

• Coordinate heat pump integration and optimization roadmaps end-to-end within the Heartbeat technology stack.
• Manage the partner network and draft technical requirements for software and hardware solutions.
• Perform root cause analyses to ensure high platform stability and address technical issues.
• Support the software delivery process and ensure alignment across local and international teams.
• Act as the primary point of contact for heat pump OEM partners to ensure seamless system integration.

Requirements

• Fluent English and German (written and spoken).
• Proven experience managing complex technical projects at the intersection of hardware and software.
• Broad knowledge of communication protocols used in renewable energy and HVAC (e.g., Modbus, EEBUS).
• Strong analytical mindset for performing root cause analyses on technical implementations.
• Agile and product-oriented mindset with a focus on project execution.
• Must have the right to work in Germany.

Nice to have

• Experience with EEBUS and Modbus TCP hardware integration.
• Practical experience with field installations of heat pumps.
• Background in building software products specifically for heat pumps.
