Physical Security Engineer

What you will do

• Lead regional physical security engineering throughout data center planning, design, construction, commissioning, and operational turnover.
• Review architectural and engineering designs, consultant deliverables, shop drawings, equipment submittals, and proposed scope changes.
• Act as the technical approval authority for physical security design changes and the regional subject matter expert.
• Coordinate with data center infrastructure, architects, consultants, system integrators, contractors, procurement, operations, and customer stakeholders.
• Perform installation quality inspections, milestone walkthroughs, commissioning support, and technical issue resolution.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience leading complex physical security, critical infrastructure, construction, or technology deployment programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, information technology, criminal justice, security management, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience delivering physical security systems for hyperscale data centers, mission-critical facilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing cross-functional programs involving design, construction, networking, operations, procurement, and customer stakeholders.
• Knowledge of access control, video surveillance, security networking, structured cabling, low-voltage systems, security design standards, electronic security commissioning, system integration, and operational technology cybersecurity.
• Experience coordinating commissioning, operational readiness, transition to operations, and work with security integrators, engineering consultants, general contractors, and owner representatives.

Nice to have

• Genetec access control or Genetec Security Center certification.
• ASIS Physical Security Professional or Certified Protection Professional certification.
• Project Management Professional certification or equivalent technical project management experience.
• BICSI RCDD certification.
