Filton Operational Security Lead (Aerospace)

hirify.global operates an aerospace and defence manufacturing environment where the Filton Security Team supports site delivery, personnel safety, assets, information, equipment, fire safety, and emergency response.

What you will do

• Deliver and oversee protective security activities in line with hirify.global policies, frameworks, safety rules, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage security service providers, contractual KPIs, supplier audits, performance, and continuous improvement.
• Assess and mitigate security risks, manage issues, and provide strategic guidance for operational and delivery objectives.
• Act as the first escalation point for security systems faults and support the implementation of emergency response protocols.
• Plan security arrangements for events, temporary deployments, high-profile visits, critical operations, and projects.
• Lead investigations into theft, fraud allegations, near misses, and road traffic incidents, while deputising in senior security meetings when required.

Requirements

• Level 5 qualification in Security Management or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven security management experience in large commercial or industrial operational environments.
• Demonstrable expertise in security risk management, including risk assessment and mitigation in complex environments.
• Strong communication, organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to achieve UK Government Security Clearance (SC), pass BPSS+, and complete UK Civil Aviation Enhanced vetting and training.
• Some programmes and projects require military accreditation and compliance with export-control access restrictions.

Nice to have

• Experience with security systems, G-Suite, and other operational tools.
• Experience managing security contractors.
• Ability to travel at short notice and respond to operational needs.
