What you will do
- Provide technical leadership for materials and corrosion engineering during FEED and detailed engineering phases.
- Prepare material selection reports and diagrams, corrosion control manuals, material adequacy checks, specifications, design calculations, and material take-offs.
- Develop corrosion control, monitoring, chemical injection, coatings, painting, and cathodic protection scopes and specifications.
- Perform corrosion rate modelling using industry-recognized software such as ECE 5.8 and provide materials input to process, piping, mechanical, and equipment deliverables.
- Participate in site visits, condition assessments, third-party studies, HAZID, HAZOP, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, and third parties while supporting project budgets, schedules, resources, quality, and technical issue resolution.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of overall experience, including at least 4 years in dedicated materials and corrosion design engineering within the oil and gas industry.
- Experience with onshore and offshore facilities, including greenfield and brownfield projects in the Middle East.
- Knowledge of ADNOC Group engineering standards, technical specifications, and project execution requirements.
- Working knowledge of FEED and detailed engineering deliverables, Management of Change processes, document control, and project execution methodologies.
- Knowledge of NACE MR0175/ISO 15156, MR0103/ISO 17495-1, API, ISO, ASME, and other relevant oil and gas standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
