Senior Welding QC Engineer (Oil & Gas)

Location: Asab, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; onsite, full-time

What you will do

• Prepare and review quality documentation, including Inspection & Test Plans and construction documents for welding activities.
• Monitor welding design, procurement, construction, testing, handover, method statements, and inspection records.
• Manage welding inspections and testing, including oversight of QC Inspectors and coordination with third-party testing companies.
• Review and approve welder qualifications, Welding Procedure Specifications, and Procedure Qualification Records.
• Analyze test data, welding repair information, and welder performance while ensuring instruments are calibrated.
• Identify and resolve non-conformances, coordinate client inspections, and support audits and final certification documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Metallurgy Engineering and a Master’s degree in Welding.
• At least 15 years of welding experience in oil and gas projects, including required ADNOC experience.
• Professional welding engineering certification such as IWE or CWE.
• ASNT Level II certification in RT, UT, MT, and PT.
• ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor certification and CSWIP 3.1 certification.
• Knowledge of ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1, API 1104, ISO 13847, SHELL DEP, and ADNOC specifications.

Nice to have

• ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification.
• CSWIP 3.2 certification.
