Senior Data Scientist (Machine Learning)

Location: Based in Chicago, Peoria, or Irving, United States. Relocation is not available, and visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $112,710–$183,140 per year

What you will do

• Lead Rental Insights and Analytics initiatives to optimize digital investments, increase rental revenue, and expand the customer base.
• Collaborate with senior leadership, product owners, and the Rental & Utilization Strategy team on the BI and analytics roadmap.
• Analyze complex business data and deliver insights supporting strategic initiatives and operational efficiency.
• Gather and document BI and analytics requirements, KPIs, and metrics.
• Develop and implement machine learning solutions for business challenges.
• Communicate analytical findings and tell compelling stories with data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in data science, analytics, computer science, engineering, statistics, mathematics, finance, or a related quantitative discipline, plus 6+ years of relevant experience; a master’s degree with 1–3 years of relevant experience or equivalent experience may qualify.
• Proficiency in BI tools, Python, SQL, GA4, and BigQuery.
• Experience with AWS services, cloud ELT/ETL, Snowflake, and data lake solutions.
• Advanced data analysis and statistical methods, including regression, hypothesis testing, ANOVA, and statistical process control.
• Practical machine learning experience with clustering, logistic regression, random forests, SVMs, or neural networks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, consultative, interpersonal, and communication skills.

• Knowledge of stackable data solutions and automation techniques.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
