Senior QA Automation Engineer

What you will do

• Own and execute the automation strategy for an assigned product area or test domain.
• Expand coverage from happy paths to edge cases, failure modes, and cross-platform scenarios.
• Build and harden automated test frameworks and tooling integrated into CI/CD.
• Lead root-cause investigations of complex or recurring failures and partner with engineering on fixes.
• Provide automation and quality metrics to support prioritization and release decisions.
• Mentor T2 automation engineers on automation practices, code quality, and framework usage.

Requirements

• Automation-first execution with a hands-on approach to designing, building, and iterating on test automation.
• Technical depth in areas such as authentication, filesystems, SDKs, or backend infrastructure.
• Ability to debug complex cross-platform failures independently, including issues involving low-level I/O, networking, operating systems, and user applications.
• Experience with CI/CD integration, risk-based test planning, and data-informed prioritization.
• Ability to build technical credibility with engineering teams and directly mentor T2 automation engineers.

Hiring process

• Initial interview with People & Culture, followed by a technical interview with engineers.
• Take-home task, task review, and final interview with the VP of Engineering and/or Engineering Manager.
