What you will do
- Translate project milestones into detailed, resourced, and executable manufacturing plans.
- Perform capacity planning and balance workloads across internal and external manufacturing resources.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics to optimize inventory availability, prevent shortages, and improve material flow.
- Incorporate engineering and manufacturing process changes into production plans and adjust proactively to evolving requirements.
- Analyze production performance, capacity utilization, lead times, and material constraints to identify risks and improve planning accuracy.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of production planning systems, including future ERP/MRP capabilities.
Requirements
- Degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, supply chain management, operations management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in production planning, manufacturing operations, or supply chain within a complex engineering environment such as aerospace, fusion, automotive, energy, or other high-tech manufacturing.
- Experience with production planning systems, MRP/ERP workflows, and manufacturing data management.
- Ability to model capacity, material flow, and constraints and evaluate operational trade-offs.
- Effective communication across multidisciplinary teams, with a proactive, detail-oriented approach to changing priorities.
