Production Manager (Satellite AIT)

Location: Onsite in Harwell, UK; candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK.

What you will do

• Run the day-to-day satellite assembly, integration, and test production operation across all shifts.
• Translate production plans into shift rotas, priorities, and staffing coverage.
• Lead and support Production Team Leads to deliver safely, on time, and to quality standards.
• Own production KPIs, review performance, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage short-term operational risks and coordinate mitigation plans.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Facilities while reporting performance and risks to the Head of Production.

Requirements

• Experience in day-to-day production operations within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Ability to lead team leads and maintain consistency across shift-based operations.
• Understanding of production KPIs, capacity planning, and operational risk management.
• Knowledge of ERP systems, shop-floor reporting, and performance dashboards.
• Understanding of quality systems and health and safety requirements in a technical setting.
• Structured, decisive, and calm approach focused on execution.
