Senior Mechanical Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Onsite at the headquarters in Vindafjord (Nedre Vats) or the office in Oslo (Lysaker), Norway

What you will do

• Design mechanical solutions from concept and CAD modelling through production-ready designs.
• Build and test prototypes, perform FEA, and improve designs based on test results.
• Own mechanical systems and ensure compliance with functional and manufacturing requirements.
• Collaborate with suppliers on mechanical parts for serial production.
• Work cross-functionally with Product Owners, Project Managers, and mechanical, electronics, software, and manufacturing engineers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Strong experience with 3D CAD, FEA, FMEA, PLM, and design for manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience designing electro-mechanical systems with motors, belts, gears, drives, or similar mechanisms.
• Experience taking products from prototype to serial production.
• Ability to solve technical challenges through testing, troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
