Quarkus AI Engineer

What you will do

• Develop backend services and APIs using Java and scalable microservice architectures.
• Contribute to digital mobility solutions that improve product quality and user experience.
• Integrate LLMs, RAG workflows, agent orchestration, and MCP or similar AI tools.
• Apply AI-assisted development practices using tools such as GitHub Copilot, GitLab Duo, or Claude Code.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and collaborate with project stakeholders.
• Implement automated unit and integration tests and solve complex technical problems.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of backend development experience.
• Strong experience with Java; Quarkus experience is a plus.
• Experience designing APIs and scalable Java-based microservices.
• Experience with automated unit and integration testing.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and familiarity with LLM integrations, RAG, or agent orchestration.
• Good English communication skills and Portuguese language ability; hybrid work in Porto is required.
