Senior/ Executive Medical Director, Medical Lead IAI, Early Clinical Development (Immunology)

What you will do

• Lead early clinical development from preclinical candidate selection through first-in-human, proof-of-concept, and transition to registrational studies.
• Shape asset and portfolio strategy, prioritization, governance, messaging, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Provide medical and scientific leadership for dermatology, immunology, and rheumatology programs.
• Collaborate with regulatory teams and global agencies, including the FDA, EMA, PMDA, and TGA, on INDs and other development documents.
• Develop clinical protocols, informed consents, CRFs, CSRs, publications, strategy documents, and project plans.
• Oversee collaboration with CROs, laboratories, imaging vendors, medical affairs, commercial teams, and investigators.

Requirements

• MD, MD-PhD, or PhD with more than 8 years of clinical development experience in immunology or dermatology.
• Required experience in early drug development and leading a clinical or preclinical candidate through proof of concept in humans.
• Proficient English in oral and written communication.
• Ability to lead sub-teams, drive projects, identify emerging development issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Experience supporting business development and due diligence activities.
• Demonstrated success working in diverse, cross-functional teams and willingness to coach colleagues.

Nice to have

• Board certification in dermatology, rheumatology, or clinical immunology/allergy.
• Wet-lab research training, postdoctoral experience, or first-author peer-reviewed publications.
• Membership in a professional society such as SID, ACR, or AAAAI.
• Active listening, empathy, social sensitivity, and a willingness to mentor and coach.
