Data Engineer Mid (m/f/d) (SAP)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and data models using SAP Datasphere, SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Core Data Services, and Databricks.
• Collaborate with Data Architects, Analysts, and Business SMEs to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Optimize ETL/ELT processes for performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Ensure data governance, quality, metadata management, and compliance across SAP and integrated systems.
• Provide technical expertise during platform transformation and modernization initiatives.
• Document solutions, evaluate emerging technologies, and promote data engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in SAP data engineering, data modeling, or analytics.
• Experience with SAP data analytics technologies such as Business Data Cloud and Datasphere and/or Databricks.
• Proficiency in SQL, ETL/ELT design, and integration technologies including APIs, OData, and CDS Views.
• Strong understanding of data governance, metadata, data security, and dimensional data modeling.
• Fluent English is required. German is a plus; strong communication and problem-solving skills are expected.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Knowledge of German.
