Data Engineer

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; hybrid work model with 60% remote work per year

What you will do

• Build and maintain reliable data pipelines with Databricks, dbt, Airbyte, and Airflow.
• Contribute to the architecture and modeling of the enterprise data foundation.
• Develop tested, consistent, and reusable transformation logic.
• Deliver documented and performant datasets for BI developers, analysts, and product teams.
• Optimize data workflows for scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Define engineering standards, documentation, and modern data practices across the organization.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Hands-on experience with modern data stack components, strong SQL, and data modeling.
• Python experience for data processing and pipeline orchestration.
• Knowledge of Azure, AWS, or GCP, data warehousing, and distributed data processing.
• Understanding of CI/CD, version control, and environment management for data workflows.
• Experience collaborating with BI teams and enabling analytics use cases.
