Data Engineer (Python)

Location: Remote, based in Portugal. Candidates must be based in Portugal with Portuguese or EU citizenship or a valid work permit; EU-based candidates are welcome if willing to relocate to Portugal.

What you will do

• Build, transform, and maintain robust data pipelines.
• Orchestrate production data workflows using Airflow or Dagster.
• Deliver reliable data products with data quality frameworks.
• Work with modern data platforms including Snowflake, BigQuery, Azure Fabric, Databricks, and Redshift.
• Develop maintainable codebases using Git and CI pipelines across client engagements.
• Collaborate with teams in a consulting environment.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Expert proficiency in Python and advanced SQL.
• Experience with Airflow or Dagster and data quality frameworks such as Great Expectations, Soda, or Monte Carlo.
• Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, Azure Fabric, Databricks, or Redshift.
• Solid engineering practices with Git and CI pipelines.
• Fluent English at C1 level and eligibility to work in Portugal or the EU are required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
