Senior Data Analyst & Data Engineer (Banking Analytics)

Location: Porto, Portugal, with a hybrid model of up to three remote days per week. Candidates must have an existing legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do

• Gather requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into technical data models and specifications.
• Design, develop, and maintain star and snowflake data models for analytics and reporting.
• Build, test, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Stambia and related integration tools.
• Develop high-performance dashboards and reports that support strategic decisions.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, documentation, data lineage, and data dictionary maintenance.
• Automate data quality checks and improve data governance processes.

Requirements

• More than six years of experience in data analysis, analytics engineering, or BI development.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, optimization, and stored procedures.
• Solid knowledge of data modeling, data warehouse concepts, and the Kimball methodology.
• Hands-on experience with Stambia or comparable ETL tools such as Talend, Informatica, SSIS, or dbt.
• Fluent English and professional French proficiency at B2 level or higher are required.
• Existing legal right to work in the European Union is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power BI, DAX, and Power Query/M.
• Background in banking, finance, or insurance.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Python or Unix/Linux scripting.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
