Senior Lawyer (AdTech)

Location: Remote within the United States; Miami, Florida, United States

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial, technology, SaaS, data, vendor, advertiser, publisher, agency, and strategic partnership agreements for US operations.
• Develop and maintain US contract templates, fallback positions, negotiation playbooks, and approval rules.
• Advise Product, Technology, Information Security, Compliance, Commercial, Operations, and the DPO on US privacy, data protection, tracking technologies, targeted advertising, and product initiatives.
• Assess advertising claims, consumer-protection risks, disclosures, privacy-by-design measures, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Manage pre-litigation disputes, contractual claims, regulatory inquiries, litigation coordination, external counsel, legal spend, deadlines, and settlement matters.
• Support US corporate governance, employment matters, internal investigations, legal risk management, training, and global Legal Department initiatives.

Requirements

• Law degree and active membership in good standing of at least one US state bar; eligibility to practise or register as in-house counsel in the state where duties are performed.
• At least 8 years of relevant US legal experience, including commercial contracts, technology, digital advertising, privacy, or data-related matters.
• At least 3 years of in-house experience in technology, digital media, advertising, SaaS, data-driven, or international business, or equivalent reputable law-firm experience.
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial and technology agreements, including MSAs, insertion orders, SaaS and vendor contracts, data processing agreements, data licensing terms, and confidentiality agreements.
• Strong knowledge of US privacy, data protection, digital advertising, consumer protection, US state privacy laws, and FTC requirements.
• Experience managing disputes, regulatory inquiries, external counsel, senior stakeholders, and material legal matters independently.

Nice to have

• AdTech, MarTech, digital media, programmatic advertising, or online publishing experience.
• Knowledge of NAI, DAA, and IAB standards and industry practices.
• Experience with CCPA/CPRA, FTC or state regulators, AI contracting, intellectual property, employment, corporate governance, sanctions, export controls, or international compliance.
• CIPP/US, CIPM, or another relevant privacy qualification.
• Experience supporting globally distributed teams and implementing legal playbooks, approval matrices, or contract lifecycle management tools.
