Senior Database Developer (Microsoft SQL Server)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain T-SQL code, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and database scripts.
• Design database structures and data models for scalable, maintainable, high-throughput systems.
• Analyze execution plans, indexes, queries, and database objects to optimize performance and reduce bottlenecks.
• Investigate production incidents involving database behavior, performance, stability, or data integrity.
• Support Developers and second-level support teams with SQL reviews, data checks, safe database operations, and issue assessment.
• Define data retention, archiving, deletion, and database development standards while bridging Development and DBA teams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of database development experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Advanced knowledge of stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, indexes, transactions, and query optimization.
• Strong understanding of execution plans, indexing, locking, blocking, deadlocks, isolation levels, and transactional consistency.
• Experience designing database solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability under heavy load.
• Working knowledge of .NET data access patterns and Dapper or similar micro-ORM frameworks.
• Experience supporting production systems, with knowledge of monitoring, backups, maintenance plans, SQL Server Agent jobs, security, and availability.
