Senior/Staff Software Engineer, Platform Infrastructure

Location: Onsite at hirify.global's headquarters in San Mateo, California, United States

Annual OTE: $180,000–$280,000 USD

hirify.global develops an integrated, privacy-sensitive, AI-powered physical security platform covering video security, access control, air quality sensors, alarms, intercoms, and visitor management.

What you will do

• Architect, design, and develop infrastructure projects that improve reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Lead critical efforts supporting millions of connected devices.
• Design systems such as service meshes and cost-efficient services for ingesting and storing terabytes of video footage.
• Influence platform features and technical direction through engineering proposals.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to engineers.
• Coordinate with product, organizational, and cross-functional teams to deliver key results and establish engineering best practices.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a similar technical field.
• Experience with Python and/or Go.
• Experience with a major cloud platform, preferably AWS.
• Interest in learning new infrastructure products, features, and strategies, with comfort working at the frontier of infrastructure and software development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite at the San Mateo headquarters.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with a service mesh such as Istio.
