Automation Technician III - FP/CUB/IL (B-Shift)

Location: Lexington, Massachusetts, United States; the position involves facility-based manufacturing work and may require work at the Clayton, North Carolina site.

What you will do

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and manage process control system hardware.
• Support process downtime troubleshooting, preventive and predictive maintenance, installations, and equipment inventory.
• Develop and execute maintenance and improvement plans in coordination with production schedules.
• Work with suppliers, internal stakeholders, external vendors, and contractors to resolve technical issues.
• Implement process improvements, support change management, and maintain system quality and compliance.
• Coach colleagues and stakeholders, develop training materials, and maintain automation and IT training readiness.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in electronics, computers, engineering, or a related field with at least eight years of automated or process control system experience; alternatively, a high school diploma or GED with at least twelve years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in maintaining process control systems and troubleshooting automated or IT system issues, interfaces, and hardware components.
• Proficiency in one or more of PLC systems such as Rockwell or Siemens, HMI, PCS/DCS such as DeltaV or iFix, Historian systems, SCADA, MES such as Syncade or PAS-X, or MS SQL.
• Proficiency in PLC programming troubleshooting, Microsoft Office, systematic problem-solving, written and oral communication, and disciplined decision-making.
• Availability to work overtime or different shifts as business needs require and to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work on foot for up to 12 hours, handle equipment weighing up to 33 pounds, and work around manufacturing, hazardous, loud, cold, elevated, or confined-space environments when required.
