Team Lead Accounting (Fintech)

What you will do

• Lead and scale the accounting function across German GAAP (HGB/RechKredV) and IFRS requirements.
• Design, standardize, and automate accounting processes across existing and new workstreams.
• Drive cross-functional accounting projects with internal stakeholders, auditors, and tax advisors.
• Own the monthly and annual close, including monthly tax reporting.
• Design booking logic and posting patterns within the in-house core banking system.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in financial accounting under German GAAP and handling tax-related matters.
• Hands-on experience preparing consolidated annual financial statements and managing external audits.
• Solid knowledge of VAT and related reporting requirements.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, precise, and structured working style with strong problem-solving skills.
• Business-fluent German and English, written and spoken.
