Head of Global Tax

Location: Must be based in Germany (Hybrid model)

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a virtual team of three tax professionals.
• Develop and govern the group's tax strategy and Tax Compliance Management System (TCMS).
• Ensure global tax compliance, including CIT, VAT, and transfer pricing documentation.
• Manage relationships with external advisors and local tax authorities during audits.
• Collaborate on financial statement preparation (IFRS) regarding current and deferred taxes.
• Work cross-functionally to drive business growth and mitigate financial risks.

Requirements

• Qualified German Tax Advisor (Steuerberater).
• Master’s degree in Economics (Accounting/Finance) or Law.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant tax experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Fluent in both German and English (written and verbal).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or D365.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.
