Principal Data Innovation Specialist (RWD) (AI)

Salary: $140,900–$261,700 USD annual, with a discretionary annual bonus potentially available.

What you will do

• Prototype, validate, and scale AI capabilities, with a focus on multi-agent development and orchestration architectures.
• Design and optimize scalable data pipelines integrating unstructured, multimodal, and unconventional data sources.
• Lead analytical innovation projects involving novel data types, automated agent-driven workflows, and knowledge graph integrations.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, product teams, and external partners to pilot data innovations.
• Develop low- and no-code analytics platforms and frameworks for evaluating, productizing, and reusing experimental data approaches.
• Mentor junior team members and ensure AI and engineering frameworks comply with HIPAA and GDPR.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or healthcare innovation.
• Practical experience with AI-driven analytics, multi-agent architectures, and innovation pilots.
• Strong knowledge of agile development, product thinking, and innovation frameworks such as Lean Startup or Design Thinking.
• Experience evaluating data platforms, APIs, or data partnerships, with strong critical-thinking and independent decision-making skills.
• Work location is South San Francisco, California, United States of America; relocation benefits are not available.
