Director Privacy Operations - US

What you will do

• Implement and operationalize the US Privacy program and manage delivery of the US Privacy plan.
• Coordinate with the Global Privacy Officer, internal legal counsel, Privacy colleagues, business stakeholders, and IT on privacy strategy and regulatory changes.
• Manage Privacy Assessments and Records of Processing Activities in the US.
• Support privacy compliance during pre- and post-product launch activities and oversee consistent approaches to personal information processing.
• Coordinate the US Privacy Champions network and employee and contractor training on privacy policies, data handling, and legal obligations.
• Respond to data regulators and data subjects, participate in the Global Privacy Steering Committee, and collaborate with Cybersecurity on privacy risks and new technologies, including AI.

Requirements

• BS, BA, or equivalent degree.
• 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology companies, or life sciences consulting.
• At least 5 years of privacy and data protection experience within the pharmaceutical, medical device, or healthcare industries.
• Continuing education in privacy or data protection, or CIPP/E certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and ability to provide risk-based operational solutions.
• Strong organization, project management, prioritization, interpersonal, and multitasking skills, with the ability to handle highly sensitive information.
