Senior Director, Chief Privacy Lead (MedTech)

Location: Chelmsford, Massachusetts, United States

Annual salary: $220,000–$290,000, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Set and execute the enterprise-wide global privacy strategy, policies, and governance framework.
• Lead privacy risk management, privacy impact assessments, mitigation plans, and operational compliance activities.
• Embed privacy-by-design and privacy-by-default principles into products, connected devices, digital initiatives, and enterprise systems.
• Monitor privacy laws and advise senior executives on regulatory developments, data ethics, and emerging technology risks.
• Lead and develop the global privacy organization, including talent development and succession planning.
• Oversee privacy contracting, training, incident response, investigations, and regulatory engagement.

Requirements

• JD from the United States or a European jurisdiction required.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in privacy, data protection, cybersecurity, or related risk functions.
• Experience in private practice or a complex global healthcare organization, such as a hospital system, medical device or MedTech company, or pharmaceutical company.
• Experience advising senior executives on privacy strategy and enterprise risk.
• Expertise in GDPR, U.S. federal and state privacy laws, HIPAA, and relevant FDCA regulations.
• Fluency in English required; additional languages are a plus.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in privacy, information governance, cybersecurity, healthcare administration, public policy, or a related field.
• Experience with data incident management, regulatory notifications, and information systems or cybersecurity teams.
• Experience supporting business transformation or operating model changes.
• CIPP, CIPM, or equivalent certification.
