Senior Piping Engineer (Offshore)

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates — hirify.global Office; requires travel to ADNOC offshore facilities on a rotational basis for site surveys and brownfield assessments.

What you will do

• Define piping design bases, codes, standards, and deliverables for safe, reliable, and cost-effective engineering solutions.
• Design and review piping systems, supports, routing, isometrics, P&IDs, bills of materials, and related technical documentation.
• Perform and supervise piping stress analyses, including thermal expansion, routing optimization, vibration considerations, and non-metallic piping stress analysis.
• Prepare and review piping material specifications, datasheets, requisition packages, technical bid evaluations, and vendor documentation.
• Coordinate piping deliverables with process, mechanical, civil, electrical, instrumentation teams, clients, and vendors.
• Mentor engineers, support quality and schedule control, manage design changes, and contribute to project lessons learned.

Requirements

• 12+ years of concept, FEED, detailed engineering, and EPCM experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Offshore facilities and site experience, including greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Experience with piping design, support design, stress analysis, high-pressure piping, corrosion considerations, and material selection for metallic, GRE, and HDPE systems.
• Proficiency with piping calculation and design tools such as CAESAR, AutoPIPE, and 3D modeling software.
• Knowledge of international piping codes and standards, including ASME B31.3, ASTM, API, and NACE MR0175/ISO 15156.

Nice to have

• Experience with Middle East clients such as ADNOC and QatarEnergy.
• Valid OPITO-approved T-BOSIET/BOSIET and H₂S certifications with at least six months of validity.
• Professional membership or certification such as PE or Chartered Engineer.
• Certification in piping design or stress analysis.
• Experience in vendor qualification, technical bid evaluation, and factory audits.
