Piping Engineer (Fabrication)

Location: Abu Dhabi or Dubai, United Arab Emirates; site office-based

An international Engineering, Procurement and Construction contractor delivering complex Energy, Marine, Infrastructure, and Defense & Security projects worldwide.

What you will do

• Review piping isometrics, P&IDs, general arrangement drawings, specifications, and construction work packs.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise pipe cutting, fit-up, welding, spool fabrication, assembly, and dimensional inspection.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, Planning, and Construction teams to maintain project execution schedules.
• Monitor material identification, traceability, storage, preservation, fabrication progress, productivity, and weld quality.
• Coordinate NDT, PWHT, hydrotesting, spool release, hydrotest packages, mechanical completion, and handover.
• Prepare progress and productivity reports, support technical issue resolution, promote safety, and minimize material waste, weld repairs, and rework.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• 13–16 years of piping fabrication experience in Oil & Gas, refinery, petrochemical, LNG, or EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of piping fabrication, welding, NDT, hydrotesting, material control, and international codes and standards.
• Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, isometrics, and fabrication documentation.
• Good communication, leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
