Lead Instrument Engineer

What you will do

• Lead the instrumentation and control engineering discipline across assigned projects, managing scope, schedule, budget, QHSE requirements, risks, and interfaces.
• Lead the design, specification, and implementation of instrumentation and control systems.
• Deliver cable block diagrams, termination and loop diagrams, control and safety philosophies, instrument indexes, I/O lists, loop drawings, cause-and-effect charts, detector layouts, and control room layouts.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, vendors, partners, clients, and third parties, including package integration and technical query resolution.
• Lead technical bid evaluations and vendor document reviews.
• Support HAZOP, SIL, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and startup activities while mentoring engineers and designers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of instrumentation and control engineering experience in offshore oil and gas, FPSOs, floating production facilities, offshore platforms, and brownfield projects.
• Experience as a package lead on large EPC/EPCI projects.
• Strong knowledge of IEC, API, ISO, NORSOK, classification society, regulatory, client, and project requirements.
• Experience across FEED, detailed design, and project execution phases, with a track record of managing complex multidisciplinary technical challenges.
