Customer Engineer, Korea

Location: Hybrid, with available locations in Seoul, South Korea, or Singapore. Travel of up to 20–50% may be required for customer meetings, conferences, industry events, and in-person collaboration.

What you will do

• Lead technical discovery, validation, proof-of-concept planning, presentations, architecture diagrams, and demonstrations with enterprise customers.
• Map customer infrastructure across DNS, CDN, Zero Trust, network security, Workers, and related hirify.global products to suitable architectures.
• Guide onboarding and migration through structured blueprints, configuration best practices, WAF tuning guidance, and deployment-risk mitigation.
• Partner with Account Executives to drive adoption, technical health, retention, expansion, and quota-linked commercial outcomes.
• Advise customer stakeholders throughout the lifecycle, including technical QBRs for C-level executives.
• Use AI agents, LLMs, internal platforms, scripts, and documentation to automate routine technical workflows and improve enablement.

Requirements

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, Professional Services, Sales Engineering, Technical Account Management, or Forward Deployed Engineering.
• Ability to design and explain complex enterprise network and security architectures to engineers and C-level stakeholders.
• Strong communication, presentation, consultative, stakeholder-management, and commercial skills, including experience in quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environments.
• Depth in at least four relevant areas, including Internet fundamentals, security, performance, AI proficiency, coding and scripting, or developer platforms.
• Knowledge of technologies such as OSI layers, BGP, TCP/UDP, DNS, HTTP(S), SSL/TLS, WAF, firewalls, Zero Trust, SASE, APIs, SDKs, webhooks, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and observability.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience creating technical workshops, code samples, documentation, or developer onboarding materials.
• Knowledge of LLM orchestration, RAG architectures, and model-access controls.
• Understanding of PCI DSS, HIPAA, or SOC 2 requirements.
• Background in hyperscalers, digital-native companies, distributed systems environments, or startups.
