Technician, Quality Inspection (Aerospace)

Salary: $24.00–$32.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Conduct tests, inspections, audits, validations, sampling inspections, and supplier surveillance.
• Verify compliance with contracts, customer requirements, quality systems, specifications, and approved procedures.
• Validate operator and special-process certifications and calibrations.
• Use and maintain inspection tools, measuring equipment, and testing equipment.
• Participate in root-cause analysis, corrective-action follow-up audits, design reviews, and statistical trend monitoring.
• Train inspection personnel and provide activity and status reports to management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least three years of experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to the client requirement.
• Strong understanding of quality systems and quality processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, prints, policies, procedures, and process documentation.
• Ability to use inspection tools, measuring equipment, and test equipment; training in TQ tools is required.
• Must pass a Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing test by the first week of employment.

Nice to have

• IPC-600, IPC-610, and/or IPC-620 certification.
• Willingness to travel regionally, nationally, or to Canada; travel may provide additional working hours.
