Location: On-site in Cape Canaveral, Florida, United States. Successful candidates must pass a U.S. government background check to obtain clearance for on-site work at a government partner location.
Salary: $94,000–$142,000 USD per year, plus equity.

What you will do
- Lead the site Material Review Board process by inspecting non-conforming parts, supporting root cause analysis, executing material dispositions, and coordinating rework.
- Manage vendor return material authorizations and containment activities for non-conforming materials, tooling, and inspection equipment.
- Develop and implement incoming, in-process, and final inspection plans aligned with Product Quality Engineering requirements.
- Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to standardize inspection methods and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Review manufacturing process plans and inspection requirements to improve quality controls and production processes.
- Support calibration management, internal audits, traceability analysis, quality procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in metrology inspection, quality inspection, or a quality-focused manufacturing role in a structured production environment.
- Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or a comparable Quality Management System.
- Hands-on experience using calibrated metrology equipment, including calipers, micrometers, CMMs, Faro arms, or optical measurement machines.
- Ability to interpret GD&T according to ASME Y14.5, engineering drawings, wire diagrams, work instructions, and CAD models.
- Experience conducting investigative or validation activities using X-ray inspection, digital characterization, material certifications, or assembly-level testing.
- Ability to meet applicable requirements for access to export-controlled information and complete the required U.S. government background check.
Nice to have
- Technical or associate degree in Quality, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- ASQ CQE/CQIA, IPC-A-610, or IPC-A-620 certification.
- Experience inspecting electrical or electronic assemblies, PCBs, power supplies, or wire harnesses.
- Experience with Jira, MES, ERP, Teamcenter, or CAD, and knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, TQM, or TPS.
