TL;DR
Senior Backend Engineer (C#): Building and scaling SaaS and cloud-based financial comparison applications with an accent on backend architecture, application performance, and code quality. Location: Hybrid office role in Alvalade, Lisbon, Portugal, with flexibility to work remotely

What you will do
- Own complex backend features end to end, from design and development through release and delivery.
- Design scalable backend systems and contribute to technical decisions involving APIs, tools, frameworks, and architecture.
- Improve application performance, system scalability, developer tooling, build processes, and deployment efficiency.
- Write testable, maintainable code and promote automated testing, CI/CD integration, and clean architecture.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to turn business requirements into technical solutions.
Requirements
- Senior-level software engineering experience with a willingness to contribute to both backend and some frontend development.
- Experience delivering software products through the full design, development, and release cycle, including technical leadership.
- Experience developing SaaS and cloud-based applications.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure, software architecture, and business requirements.
- Strong communication, analytical, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with C#, Python, Nuxt, PostgreSQL, and AWS; experience with every technology is not required.
