Senior Automation Developer (Python/Django)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable APIs and automation backends for network security workflows.
• Automate firewall policies, address objects, and security groups through the FortiManager API using JSON-RPC and REST.
• Design and support enterprise-grade FortiGate and VMware NSX-T network security infrastructure.
• Translate routing, switching, zoning, and micro-segmentation requirements into automation and consulting deliverables.
• Collaborate with clients and consulting stakeholders across technology projects.

Requirements

• 9 years of experience as a Senior Consultant in Software Engineering and Network Security.
• Advanced Python and Django expertise, including Django REST Framework.
• Deep architectural knowledge of FortiGate/FortiOS and VMware NSX-T.
• Proven experience with FortiManager API automation using JSON-RPC and REST.
• Strong understanding of enterprise routing, switching, zoning, and micro-segmentation.
• English at B2 level or higher; availability for hybrid work in Porto; residence in Portugal with Portuguese or EU citizenship, or a valid work permit.
