TL;DR
Cloud Data Engineer (Python): Designing and maintaining backend services and REST APIs for large-scale data processing with an accent on scalability, containerization, and cloud integration. What you will do
- Design and develop backend services and REST APIs using Python and Flask.
- Build scalable and high-performance applications incorporating Redis caching mechanisms.
- Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes within Azure cloud environments.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Develop and optimize large-scale data processing and transformation workflows with Databricks and Apache Spark.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams following Agile/Scrum methodologies to ensure application reliability and security.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python backend development and Flask/REST API design.
- Experience with Redis, Docker, and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of Databricks and Apache Spark for data engineering.
- Experience with PostgreSQL database management and Git version control.
- Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Fundão, Lisbon, or Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal.
