Data Center Technician (AI)

Location: Anniston, AL (Birmingham Area), United States; on-site. The role requires a rotating 12-hour schedule from 8 AM–8 PM or 8 PM–8 AM, alternating between 3-day and 4-day work weeks. Willingness to travel as needed is required.

What you will do

• Install, configure, and test new data center infrastructure.
• Perform maintenance and upgrades to support high reliability and performance.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement operational solutions.
• Coordinate with local and remote teams to complete projects on schedule.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Provide on-site technical support during critical incidents and outages as part of an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in data center operations, including hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, networking, servers, and storage systems.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with a national operations team.
• Ability to work the rotating 12-hour day or night shift schedule, including alternating 3-day and 4-day work weeks.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required.
• Compliance with safety, quality, and data center management practices is required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• Relevant technical certifications such as CompTIA or Cisco.
• Experience with GPUs or liquid cooling.
