Senior Director, Corporate Strategy (Data Storage)

Location: San Jose, California, United States; onsite at the San Jose Great Oaks Headquarters

Salary: $233,500–$311,300 per year

What you will do

• Define sales and commercial strategy for the core HDD business with commercial leadership.
• Develop ecosystem strategy across hyperscalers, neoclouds, sovereign clouds, OEMs, system integrators, and cloud infrastructure software vendors.
• Evaluate strategic partnerships, deal structures, and partner models.
• Execute strategic projects involving go-to-market strategy, customer and partner frameworks, business models, and build-vs-buy-vs-partner assessments.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Commercial, Finance, and Legal teams to align strategy with execution.
• Present strategic briefings, competitive analysis, and long-term positioning recommendations to senior leadership, C-suite, and Board audiences.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of progressive experience in top-tier management consulting, corporate strategy, GTM, commercial, or sales strategy roles.
• Required experience in data storage, including HDD, SSD, or storage systems, or adjacent infrastructure such as semiconductors, memory, or enterprise storage platforms.
• Deep understanding of data storage, semiconductors, enterprise and cloud infrastructure, or AI infrastructure.
• Proven ability to lead complex strategic projects from hypothesis development through analysis and recommendation.
• Strong financial acumen, quantitative rigor, structured problem-solving, and executive communication skills.
• MBA or equivalent experience and a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Economics, or a related analytical field.
