TL;DR
eGSE Development Test Technician (Test Site) (Electrical Systems/Aerospace): Assembling, configuring, and operating electrical test rigs and ground support equipment for spacecraft and propulsion test campaigns with an accent on high-voltage testing, circuit verification, instrumentation, and electrical troubleshooting. Focus on executing hands-on test operations, investigating anomalies, maintaining test-site readiness, and meeting electrical safety and ESD requirements.

Location: Fully onsite at the Centennial, CO office, with regular travel between the Long Beach headquarters and remote test sites.

Salary: $26.50–$60 per hour depending on technician level, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

  • Assemble, integrate, and configure electrical test articles, test rigs, and ground support equipment for spacecraft and propulsion campaigns.
  • Execute power distribution, circuit verification, continuity checks, functional tests, and performance validation.
  • Fabricate, modify, repair, and inspect electrical hardware using hand tools, power tools, wire termination equipment, and precision measurement tools.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot power supplies, load banks, battery charging systems, data acquisition equipment, and test instrumentation.
  • Support anomaly investigations through electrical troubleshooting, hardware teardown, observations, and documentation.
  • Maintain tooling, equipment, consumables, inventory, calibration records, and test-site readiness.

Requirements

  • Technical degree, certification, vocational training, or equivalent hands-on experience, with 3+ years in electrical systems, avionics, electronics, or electrical trades.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical assembly, high-voltage testing, continuity testing, and circuit verification.
  • Ability to read and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
  • Understanding of electrical safety compliance and OSHA requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and perform extended standing, bending, and reaching.
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility under ITAR requirements are required.

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of aerospace or defense test operations experience with spacecraft electrical systems or avionics.
  • Experience with ordnance and pyrotechnic operations, structural testing, strain gauges, data acquisition, and signal conditioning.
  • IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification.
  • Development test facility or propulsion test-site experience.
  • Leadership experience, active DoD clearance or ability to obtain one, and heavy-equipment certifications.
