Electrical Test Specialist (Avionics)

Location: San Francisco, United States; onsite laboratory and spacecraft test operations

Base hourly pay: $48–$55 USD per hour

What you will do

• Execute automated tests and reporting scripts for functional and performance testing of spacecraft electronics.
• Plan and perform manual and automated test cases for PCBA assemblies, subsystems, and complete spacecraft.
• Run tests across vibration, thermal vacuum, and EMI/EMC environmental conditions.
• Develop standard operating procedures and train test operators across testing environments.
• Troubleshoot test failures, support root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate test equipment and fixtures while providing Design for Manufacturing and Test feedback.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience testing complex electrical systems.
• Experience working in a Linux environment, including Bash.
• Programming experience with Python, C++, or similar languages.
• Hands-on experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and data acquisition systems.
• Experience developing and executing test plans and procedures from requirements.
• U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status required. Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed to support 24/7 critical integration and test campaigns.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering discipline.
• DevOps experience with networking, containers, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• RF testing experience with network analyzers and signal generators.
• Experience designing and building electrical harnesses and connectors.
