Sr. Operations Engineer (Space Infrastructure)

Location: Based at the HQ in Los Angeles, United States, with frequent travel to domestic and international ground station sites.

Salary: $100K–$175K annually, plus equity.

hirify.global is a space infrastructure company developing a global network of phased-array ground stations for real-time satellite communications.

What you will do

• Deploy antennas, power systems, racks, and supporting infrastructure at ground station sites worldwide.
• Identify and acquire ground station locations while balancing system performance, deployment speed, and cost.
• Design site architecture, hardware, and deployment processes.
• Oversee live station operations, monitor system performance, and troubleshoot issues.
• Coordinate internal teams, contractors, logistics partners, and network providers to deliver deployments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant engineering or operations experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil, electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
• Willingness to travel to domestic and international ground station sites.
• Must meet U.S. government ITAR eligibility requirements: U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected individual status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.
• Ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines and with diverse teams.
• Ability to communicate clearly, track deadlines, and manage complex schedules.

Nice to have

• Experience executing large projects on tight timelines.
• Construction or facilities experience.
• Hands-on field experience using basic tools.
• Experience reviewing system telemetry in an operations environment.
• Experience building or using dashboards and databases such as Grafana and SQL.
• Working proficiency in non-English languages.
