Cost & Earned Value Management Analyst-Weapons Programs

Location: On-site at Eglin AFB, Florida, United States; periodic travel to contractor facilities, supplier locations, or Government organizations may be required. Standard work schedule with core hours 0900–1500.

What you will do

• Analyze cost, schedule, and program performance for advanced weapon system acquisition programs.
• Develop lifecycle cost estimates covering development, production, fielding, sustainment, and related phases.
• Build cost-estimating methodologies using historical data, technical characteristics, schedules, risks, and other cost drivers.
• Evaluate contractor performance submissions, including IPMDAR data, to identify trends, variances, emerging risks, CPI, SPI, and EAC projections.
• Apply regression analysis, learning curves, sensitivity analysis, probability distributions, and Monte Carlo simulation to assess cost and schedule uncertainty.
• Create cost models, dashboards, visualizations, executive briefings, and supporting documentation using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and related tools.

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret security clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Operations Research, or a related quantitative discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in cost estimating, Earned Value Management, program controls, contract pricing, financial analysis, or a related field.
• Experience analyzing quantitative cost, schedule, financial, or program performance data and communicating meaningful conclusions.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to collaborate with engineers, program managers, financial managers, contracting personnel, and other Government stakeholders.

Nice to have

• 5–7+ years of relevant experience and an active Top Secret clearance.
• Government cost-estimating experience supporting DoD or Department of War acquisition programs.
• Experience with PCEs, LCCEs, independent cost estimates, EVMS, CAMs or GCAMs, IBRs, IPMR/IPMDAR data, and EAC analysis.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, statistical analysis, uncertainty modeling, and Monte Carlo simulation.
• Experience supporting missile, munitions, aerospace, or other complex defense acquisition programs.
