Principal Enterprise Architect (Health & Communities)

What you will do

• Define long-term technology strategies and transformation roadmaps for the Health & Communities sector.
• Advise senior executives, technology leaders and public-sector stakeholders on complex transformation challenges.
• Shape solutions across AI, cloud, cyber security, networking, digital infrastructure, data platforms and citizen services.
• Lead strategic customer discussions before formal procurement, bids and tenders.
• Identify commercial opportunities, support account planning and contribute to major bids and propositions.
• Build relationships with technology partners, healthcare organisations, government stakeholders and industry bodies while mentoring the architecture community.

Requirements

• Significant experience in enterprise architecture, technology strategy, chief architecture, technology direction or a comparable leadership role.
• Experience influencing technology strategy in complex organisations and large-scale transformation environments.
• Strong understanding of UK healthcare, local government, education, public sector or other regulated industries.
• Experience engaging executive, C-suite and board-level stakeholders as a trusted advisor.
• Broad expertise across cloud, cyber security, networking, data, AI and digital transformation.
• Strong commercial awareness, communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.

Nice to have

• Experience with NHS England, DHSC, NHS Trusts, Ambulance Trusts, Integrated Care Systems or local government.
• Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards, electronic patient records, clinical systems and digital healthcare platforms.
• Experience developing AI-enabled healthcare or public-service transformation strategies.
• Knowledge of healthcare information governance, cyber security and regulatory frameworks.
