Senior Specialist - Software Engineering (AWS DevOps)

hirify.global is hiring for a software engineering role supporting Allegiant Travel Company.

What you will do

• Design and support build, deployment, and configuration-management systems for multitier applications.
• Deploy and manage applications across AWS, Linux, EKS, OKD, and OpenShift environments.
• Migrate applications from on-premises infrastructure to cloud environments.
• Build and maintain automated CI/CD processes for Java, .NET, Python, Node, PHP, and mobile application projects.
• Manage release processes and configure Jenkins, AWS CI/CD, Docker, Artifactory, SonarQube, and Fortify.
• Develop deployment and infrastructure scripts using Shell, PowerShell, Batch, Groovy, Terraform, Ansible, and YAML.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in the IT industry.
• Extensive experience deploying applications on AWS cloud and Linux platforms.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, and YAML.
• Experience with AWS services including EC2, route tables, load balancers, EKS, databases, storage, and AWS Database Migration Service.
• Experience with container-based applications, OpenShift microservices deployment, application servers, and Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Experience implementing Java- or PHP-based projects and managing Node and Java releases.

Nice to have

• Experience with BigCommerce applications.
• Exposure to CloudFormation or Terraform implementations.
• Experience with Kubernetes cluster deployment or Bitbucket Actions.
