Company

hirify.global is a fast-growing aerospace startup that manufactures satellite buses at scale using software, vertical integration, and hardware designed for manufacturing.

What you will do

  • Build, integrate, test, and qualify spacecraft electromechanical hardware, including actuator systems, motor-driven mechanisms, deployables, and rotating assemblies.
  • Develop and execute component- and system-level test campaigns for spacecraft mechanisms and motor-driven hardware.
  • Design test setups, fixtures, instrumentation, and validation approaches for actuator and rotating assembly systems.
  • Integrate and validate motor drive systems, mechanism telemetry interfaces, and feedback devices with controls, avionics, and software teams.
  • Troubleshoot motors, mechanisms, sensors, controls interfaces, and electrical integration issues.
  • Develop manufacturing procedures, assembly documentation, production validation processes, and corrective actions to improve reliability and scalability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience building, integrating, testing, or qualifying electromechanical systems or rotating hardware.
  • Experience delivering and testing flight hardware or other high-reliability electromechanical systems.
  • Strong understanding of electric motor-driven systems, rotating assemblies, actuator hardware, and electromechanical integration.
  • Experience with Hall effect sensors, rotary encoders, resolvers, microswitches, potentiometers, motor feedback, and telemetry systems.
  • Hands-on hardware bring-up, integration, troubleshooting, test execution, and precision hardware manufacturing process development experience.

Nice to have

  • Experience with spacecraft mechanisms, deployables, robotics systems, landing legs, grid fins, or other motor-driven aerospace hardware.
  • Familiarity with motor drivers, actuator control systems, embedded hardware integration, environmental qualification testing, and spacecraft hardware standards.
  • Experience with long-life or high-cycle rotating assemblies and production scaling for flight hardware.

Culture & Benefits

  • Equity participation and a fast-growing startup environment.
  • Company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and dependents, plus life insurance.
  • Paid time off starting at 15 vacation days, increasing to 20+ days annually, and 10 paid holidays.
  • 401(k) plan with employer matching and eight weeks of paid parental leave.
  • Childcare reimbursement for work-related travel, catered lunch, snacks, a workspace setup, and office community events.
