Encounter Data Management Professional (Healthcare)

Location: Remote nationwide in the United States; occasional travel to hirify.global offices for training or meetings may be required.

Salary: $59,300–$80,900 per year.

What you will do

• Analyze encounter data to identify errors, discrepancies, and trends.
• Support encounter submission and reconciliation processes for Medicare and Medicaid.
• Research claims and related data to resolve processing issues and identify complex errors.
• Develop process improvements and tools that increase encounter acceptance rates and reduce errors.
• Communicate findings and process impacts with business partners.
• Support compliance with encounter submission requirements and participate in improvement projects.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant business processing or data entry experience.
• At least 1 year of experience analyzing or reconciling data.
• Experience using Excel to maintain complex spreadsheets and perform data analysis.
• Experience working with DOS-based or legacy systems.
• Ability to work from a dedicated space, protect member PHI and HIPAA information, and maintain internet speeds of at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload.

Nice to have

• Health insurance industry experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL or SAS.
• Medicare or Medicaid experience.
