Sr Principal Site Reliability Engineer (Sovereign Cloud)

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria; primarily office-based

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate reliable and secure cloud infrastructure for Sovereign Cloud services.
• Improve infrastructure automation, architecture, performance, observability, troubleshooting, security, and reliability.
• Develop tools, automation frameworks, and robust deployment processes for production services.
• Orchestrate end-to-end monitoring and alerting for scalable, production-ready applications.
• Collaborate with developers, researchers, data scientists, and security specialists.
• Participate in on-call rotations and lead root cause analysis for critical production incidents.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure, operations, DevOps, or systems engineering.
• 7+ years building highly available, scalable cloud-native applications on AWS and GCP.
• Expertise with configuration management and infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Helm.
• Strong experience with container workloads, Kubernetes, Linux administration, networking, and troubleshooting distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Go or Python, shell scripting, CI/CD pipelines, Argo CD, and GitLab CI/CD.
• Knowledge of PKI concepts and security controls, with strong communication and ownership skills.

• Experience managing Kafka.
