Junior DevOps Engineer

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria; hybrid work with 3 days in the office per week

What you will do

• Simplify, optimize, and modernize infrastructure to support increasing scale, owning work from planning through deployment and monitoring.
• Contribute to agentic infrastructure, including runtimes, tooling, integrations, and guardrails for safe AI-agent operations.
• Improve monitoring, alerting, and observability across applications and infrastructure.
• Debug application and infrastructure issues, and help resolve and prevent production incidents.
• Automate engineering workflows through pipelines, self-service tooling, cost optimization, and reliability improvements.
• Participate in code and design reviews and use AWS, Kubernetes, OpenTelemetry, and AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of software engineering experience in Python, Java, Golang, or a similar language; internships and co-ops count.
• BSc in Computer Science is required.
• Working knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, Linux, Git, and networking fundamentals.
• Strong design, troubleshooting, terminal debugging, ownership, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• AWS or Kubernetes certification or practical experience.
• Terraform or Terraform Cloud, Helm, and GitOps CI/CD pipelines using tools such as ArgoCD, Argo Rollouts, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Experience with Consul, Vault, CDNs, databases, monitoring tools, FinOps, or cloud security.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools, LLM APIs, agent frameworks, or MCP-based integrations.
