Data Operations Engineer (DataOps)

What you will do

• Support and modernize data infrastructure to ensure platforms are performant, resilient, and secure.
• Collaborate with Data, Engineering, and Cyber teams to align operational goals and challenge existing processes.
• Drive operational excellence across Snowflake, Dagster, and Qlik platforms.
• Manage and monitor data flows, including ingestion, transformation, storage, and serving.
• Develop automation scripts using Bash, Python, or PowerShell to optimize operational workflows.

Requirements

• Foundational understanding of data movement, including pipelines, ingestion, and transformation.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) in an operational context (deploying and monitoring).
• Proficiency in scripting for automation via Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Understanding of monitoring and observability concepts for data platforms.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively across multiple time zones.

Nice to have

• Experience operating big data platforms like Spark, Kafka, Databricks, or Hadoop.
• Working knowledge of Snowflake or comparable cloud data warehouses.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Dagster or Airflow.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of RBAC and identity management (Azure Active Directory).
